About This Role

We're looking for a QA Engineer who is passionate about product quality and reliability. You'll be responsible for designing and executing test strategies across our SaaS products — from manual exploratory testing to building automated test suites that run in CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with developers during the entire development lifecycle, catching issues early and advocating for quality at every stage. Your work will directly impact the experience of students, teachers, and administrators who depend on our platform every day. Responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual and automated test plans for web applications
  • Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or Cypress
  • Perform API testing and integration testing across services
  • Create detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps
  • Collaborate with developers during code review and QA handoff
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality gates
  • Perform regression, smoke, and performance testing for releases
  • Document test cases, QA workflows, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in QA engineering for web applications
  • Proficiency with test automation tools (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
  • Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and test case design
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Bruno, or REST clients)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
  • Knowledge of bug tracking tools (Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with performance testing tools (k6, Lighthouse, JMeter)
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing (axe-core, WAVE)
  • Experience testing in education or ed-tech products
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies
  • Contributions to open source testing tools or frameworks
